Aviation Museum Request In preparation for the opening of the Smiths Falls-Montague Aviation Museum, Club members are kindly asked to “check the attic” for pictures, memorabilia, artifacts, VNC charts and models. For further information please contact Eric Givens or any Museum member.

Russ Beach Smiths Falls-Montague Airport Aviation Historical Museum Society Earlier this year the above noted was formed and the following have formed the first Board of Directors: Dale Lamport - Chairperson Glenn Davies - Vice-Chairperson Jeff Whaley - Secretary Eric Givens - Treasurer Ken Read - Director Bill Flint - Director Glenn Cook - Director Ralph McElroy - Director Cathy Lamport - Director We will be referred to as the Smiths Falls-Montague Aviation Museum. We are a charitable entity with the purpose of raising funds for the Welcome Centre and creating a museum reflecting the history of the Russ Beach Smiths Falls-Montague airport. The museum will be located in the ground floor of the new Welcome Centre. Glenn Davies (613-283-7111) and Cathy Lamport (613-326-0365 lamport@ripnet.com) have volunteered to accept artifacts, pictures, newspaper articles, brochures, memorabilia etc. pertaining to the flying club from anyone wishing to donate to the museum. These items will be kept in safekeeping until such time as the Welcome Centre is completed and we are able to take possession of our space. Please feel free to share your stories and memories as well. Help us fill the museum with your memories of the Smiths Falls-Montague (Russ Beach) airport. We can’t do it without your help.
