New members can join at one of two levels.
The first is as a Student
Member.
This is open to any one that is interested in taking flight
lessons
and does not hold a Transport Canada Pilots Licence. Upon
acquiring the License, a Student Member becomes an Associate Member at the next
membership renewal. Student members have no voting privileges.
The second is as an Associate Member.
Associate membership is open to anyone with an interest in aviation
and
aviation safety. Associate membership also includes year round
aircraft tiedown
space on
the field. Moving snow to
access non-club aircraft is the member's responsibility.
The Smiths Falls Airport is one of the nicest, least expenseive and best
maintained field in Canada and most of the work is done by volunteers. All
members are expected to help out at the club in any way they can.
Grounds upkeep (grass cutting), clubhouse
maintenance, helping out at
the Annual Fly in Breakfast held by the
club are just a few of the areas where
help is required.
All memberships are for a calendar year, from Feb 1 to Jan 31. Invoices
are
sent out to members by the end of Jan. in the new year. For
members joining
for the first time, you are billed according to the
following schedule:

To apply simply print and fill in the
membership form
form then either mail it to us
or drop it off at the club house,
along with the correct membership dues.
Membership applications without the correct dues will not be considered by the
Directors.
