Bob Labelle Receives Honourary Lifetime Membership

After 13 years as a Director for the Smiths Falls Flying Club, Bob has decided to step aside so that (as he put it) some young blood could take his place. He will continue to help out at our annual fly in and else where, when he can. Bob received a surprise send off at the last Directors meeting held on Nov. 13 The Officers on behalf of the Flying Club presented Bob with a Honourary Lifetime Membership much to his surprise. Bob also received a plaque from the Township of Montague, along with a few other gifts. One of the gifts that he loved was the book presented by Floyd Graham, "How to Operate an Airport" by Bob Labelle. The book contained all the wisdom that Bob has gained over the years on airport operations, odd that the pages were all blank! Bob we will miss your wit at the meetings and thank you for your years of dedication to the club.
Jack Tedford, President SFFC hands Bob his Honourary Lifetime Membership. Jim Crosbie, Vice President, had a few good stories and some cheer for Bob. Director Floyd Graham presents Bob with the book "How to operate an airport" by Bob Labelle.
Bill Widenmaier, Councillor for the Town of Simths Falls and past member of SFFC presents Bob with a Thank you on behalf of the Town.
