First Air Tour

27 Club members showed up for an interesting evening at First Air. Flight
Engineers Dale Lamport and Ed Cordner give two group an informative look
into the work that they do, and
First Air. At the beginning of the evening Dale gave all a short run down on
the history of First Air. Jim Crobsie (Vice Predsident of SFFC) then presented
Fred Haughton with a Life Time Membership to the Smiths Falls Flying Club much
to his suprise. This was followed by a
tour of facilites at First Air. Included was a Cockpit procedures
trainer,Flight dispatch area, dealing with flight planning, weather etc.,
maintenance areas, and a walking tour inside of a 727-200 and 727.

Dale Lamport gives the group a interesting rundown on the history and business
of First Air.

Jim Crosbie presents Fred Haughton a Life Time Membership to the SFFC, while
his son Dan looks on. I think Freds wondering if Dan knew this was going to
happen. On a side note, Dan is the person that keeps the Clubs airplanes
flying.

Jim if you can find the hanger door openner, lets take this baby for a little
flight.
